Well if and when it snaps off the bolts in the trans its a decent 10 hours labor to remove them( yes its mainly 2 that break) I have done half a dozen of so ... Never fun and I do not even try any longer to remove the bolt with trans in bike..  Pull it , clamp it onto the mill table are carbide cutter makes short work or it .  The bolts always break off about 3-4 threads into the trans there is never any thing to grab on to..  Check yous as some had bolts there where too long and bottomed out in the case also..

Steve could he put better bolts in( i.e. grade 8)? Maybe they already are grade 8? It may also cause something different and more expensive to break.

No thats not the issue  If you look at the pipe and ( you can only use the 1/4 inch bolts and they are already a grade 8) you can see how its put together and the flex point is no longer there. So these tiny bolts bear the force of the engine tq that creates the engine to rise which turns puts the stress on the bolts.. No one builds a pipe like other than KW.. I have used them and yes we have had to replace bolts.. Now that S&S got it fixed easy option
