Curious that on several pictures the photo did not match the location.

True that. I live in Lakeland TN but the pix looks like maybe Lakeland FL to me. Probably written by someone outside the state who never visited the cities. Interesting article nonetheless.

 I have been to all but four of those towns.

Dayton has a nice Strawberry festival and I live 25 miles from it, I am there frequently.  Bellbuckle has the RC Cola / Moon pie festival, which Motor maids ride in, so I have been there several times as my wife is a member of Motor Maids.

rutledge has a tomato festival. pretty big deal!
