Last year my cousin Alan, who lives in Vallejo CA, shipped his bike to Hawaii. He returns to Oahu for a few months to visit family every year and calculated that it was less expensive to ship a bike than rent a car for that period. From San Diego to Honolulu it was just over $800, round trip. He's been trying to get his son David, who has a Road King to come over and ride Yellowstone and Sturgis.

Aloha from Stockbridge, GA.  Did a tour in Hawaii (Oahu) 1988 - 1991 at Barbers Point.......beautiful island, beautiful people, loved every minute of it!!

Welcome to the site from Middle Tennessee.  Wife and I hope to take a trip to Hawaii in the fall with another couple for our 30th and may rent a bike for a couple of days while there.  No firm details yet as to which location.

Welcome to the site from SW PA. My wife and I were lucky enough to be in Hilo HI for two years 1973-75, while I was there with the US Coast Guard during BC (before Children). What an beautiful place Hawaii. Turned out to be a two year honeymoon! Built a snow man there in February on top Mauna Kea.  BEAUTIFUL PLACE! JC  :beerchug:
