Saddle bag latch reflectors
« on: March 10, 2016, 12:15:02 PM »

Has anyone attempted to take off the reflectors on the saddle bag latches and replace them. I'm looking for some pointers on how to get it off maybe heat gun and a small screw driver

Try Reflector Replacements.com

Have you or anyone else bought those? Price is right.

Yup.

Hair dryer and plastic body tools and you can get the stock one out pretty easy as long as you have a little patience.

On my '12 SG I put ...never was a fan of 'script'.

What year? I have not looked into what's out there in aftermarket for the new style.

Yup. Thick acrylic with a coating over then. I actually have a set of blanks I also bought if I get bored with these or change my name, my wife can do something with her vinyl cutter.

I looked on their website, OBB, and I like the product.  I looked but can't find if the price they quote is for one or the pair?

Wow, OBB, I'd hate to think you sold your '11 'RUSE just so you can use these on the new ride! But they are a nice addition!

I have done 3 sets of replacements on my 3 CVO bikes, removing the reflectors while bags still on the bikes. Small amounts of penetrating oil like WD40 and a pocket screwdriver taking my time. I believe that reflectors are for Schwinn's and Huffy's.

Nope Mad, but it is a nice option. Lots of great upgrades on the Rushedmore bikes.
