No. It's not what you are thinking.
After my last couple of rides my garage has smelled of gas after parking my CVOSG. Has Angie else experienced this?

Check your diet.

Seriously, this has come up many times over the years so yes, many/most have experienced it. Unless you have a California emission system on the bike that includes a carbon canister to collect vented fumes, the fuel tank is vented directly to atmosphere. When you park that hot bike in the garage, the engine heat continues to heat the tank and fuel, increasing the internal pressure until the vent system releases the excess pressure. If the tank is full the problem will usually be more obvious, and if overfilled you can get actual liquid fuel dripping out of the overflow tube on the floor. The reason you don't experience the same problem when you park your car in the garage has to do with the evaporative emission system collecting all those fumes in the carbon canister, and of course your car's fuel tank isn't sitting directly over the engine either.
Just to be sure, check for leaks at the fuel line and fittings, and make sure the fuel filler cap is sealing properly to the filler neck. That has been an issue for many years on Harleys with those flush mount caps btw. Then if possible leave the garage door open after parking for a little while to help dissipate the fumes.
