Welcome, glad to have you.

Tell us a little about yourself, how long you have been riding, what other bikes you have had, what your favorite roads are, any big trips or tours coming up, any training you may have had, whatever you would like to share.

We have a get together of the SoCal and NorCal members coming up April 22-24. It's in Buellton, hope you can make it.

I'm 31 years old.. The street glide is my first bike after renting bikes for 4 months just wating for the right opportunity.. I tried other bikes like fat bob, road glide, dynas and the soft tail slim that I had a little accident on the way to Hell's Kitchen.. It was my first ride and just took those curves to fast although the bike was trash I managed to be OK.. I kept riding after that and learn from my mistakes..
Other rides that I like is old town murrieta, Julian and Ramona.. But I really hope to get involved in a big ride, I heard that there is one to the redwoods, but Buellton sounds great too...
About JC, too late for that.. Hahaha

Damn nice photography for being a new rider.....who took that pic?   :P

Miguel hangs around some bad influence and is totally new to riding.....took the MSF course at the Harley Dealership a couple months ago and spent the next few weekends renting just about every model there is.  His first rental had less than 100 miles on the clock when Miguel went into a curve in the mountains to hot.  He didn't get hurt.....just kind of rolled across the highway.  The bike didn't fare so well.  Handlebars bent up, floor board hanging down, etc. etc. and Alan and I were trying to figure out how to get it back to the dealership when Miguel said "you don't think we can finish our ride today, first?".   :huepfenlol2:  So we finished the ride for the day.

He thought he wanted a Sportster initially but we finally convinced him to try a Street Glide and a Road Glide.....he even did a demo ride on a CVO Street Glide a couple of weeks ago.  He finally pulled the trigger on a black 2013 Street Glide that has some custom pinstripping.  This bike is a virgin right down to the exhaust and air cleaner.

I met Miguel a little over two years ago when I first moved to Coronado.  He was painting for me.  Eventually he told me that he wanted to learn how to ride and wanted to get a Harley.  I didn't know it but he started saving immediately.  A couple of weeks ago he asked me to go up to L.A. to look at this bike.....before the day was over a deal had been worked and Miguel paid cash so while he's new to riding, new to Harleys he's also a new owner (and not the bank)!  :2vrolijk_21:

He's a great guy and he'll fit right in with all the other bad influences here.  He's already met and rode with Andy, Ernie and Alan from this forum.  He'll be in Buelton next month, also.  I need you guy's help in talking him in to going to the redwoods GTG.  :2vrolijk_21:

Miguel is a great guy with a amazing determination to become "a rider"! I was right behind him when he had his little "mishap" and I will tell you if painting doesn't work out for him, he could join the circus with his ability to go down at about 30mph on asphalt and roll with almost no damage to himself besides a little road rash. The would have ended most peoples desire to ride a MC but Miguel jumped right back on and without even having a footpeg (just the bolt coming out that used to hold the footpeg..) he jumped right back on and was completely game to ride back to the dealer which was about 60 miles away and grab another bike (thank God for the rental insurance!) and keep the day going! He comes in a small package but has the heart of a beast! his improvement has been huge and I have no doubt JC and I will be chasing him before long!
