I had my stock seats and tp backrest reworked  (GEL, orange stitching, wider passenger pad, CO logo, rear seat pattern matched to the front seat) oh and had a backrest made.

That looks bad ass. I love the logo.

I thought of doing something like that as well, maybe adding red panels or stitching to match the red/black paint scheme.

Had a seat done by Allen at Mean City Cycles. He lowered and moved me back about 1". Was very please with it.
One of the ladies at MCC told me they won't work on the stock heated H-D seats. Apparently Astech will.

I touched on this in the other thread but had my seat worked on by Woodstock Leather. Alligator Bob was nice on the phone and I love his work, but he would not reuse the cover. Maybe I'll save something like that for the future when I want to go custom.

What Jan has done is working out so far. She replaced some of the foam with memory foam that compresses down to nothing and that has allowed me to scoot back an inch or so. She's familiar with the heated seats and she had no problem working on it, and it still works. I'm having her take off a bit more without having to modify the seat pan.
