Rev limiter
« on: March 25, 2016, 05:59:03 PM »

I have had this happen twice now I hit the Rev limiter not on purpose just come up quick, any way it will cut power and you think bike is going to quit let out and go couple hundred yards and bike goes back normal. Is this a harley thing? 2015 cvo 110 head pipe with out cat and tts Masterton all from fullsac. Is this normal? Thanks my 2009 and 2011 did not do this.

Sorry, don't understand your post fully. Are you saying after hitting the rev limiter, the bike has the characteristics of wanting to stall over the course of a few hundred yards? If you hit the limiter and let off the throttle and/or shift, the bike should immediately function as normal. I hit in on occasion when messing around with my friends. Other than that wacky sound and "stall" characteristic, the bike functions just fine once back under 6200rpm, or whatever the limit is.

Yesterday hit it on on ramp to interstate was running hard looking for place to tuck in. Hit  it let out for couple of seconds then shifted the motor was already missing and losing power held steady throttle (hoping not to get run over) and couple hundred yard motor went back normal.

Hit my Rev limiter often while sprinting into traffic... or just getting up to speed quickly.  But, I'm also running through the gears as quickly as possible too.  Anytime I shift into the next gear, the RPMs match and the limiter cuts off.

I am running the TTS Master Tuner, and have the limiter adjusted a few 100 rpms higher than stock... but it quickly returns to power if I'm in the next (appropriate) gear.

Almost sounds as though your limiter settings are not as forgiving as they should.  I have no idea what electronic part controls the limiter, but it sounds too like the return to power limit is quite low, and until you get back down to those RPMs the bike stays in Rev Limit mode.
