           Looking for a concrete answer on when to reflash for Boom II. One dealer tells me they will reflash before I install the new speakers and second amp on my 2015 Road Glide. Second dealer insists reflash cannot be done until I install all Boom II components. Does anyone have the correct answer??? I really want to do this the right way, and not blow up my stereo.

My friend added the boom Stage II and he installed the speaker and the amp then had the unit programmed and all seemed to work fine.

I do not think you could program the unit to operate the stage II without it being installed because the software needs to verify the hardware before it would load.

FYI....not sure if this is universal or not.....but when he upload to boom 19.11, he lost the amp and took it in to get reflashed...and the tech has some issues to get it to operate.  They never told him exactly what it was.  He has not done the next updat...waiting for warmer weather.....but all indications are that the update should not loose the boom II setting.

Thank you Cat for the info, I will install this coming week, pull fuse (as my stereo still turns itself on), ride to dealer and
get the reflash.

I helped with one.  It also was hardware first then software.
