OK, I got it!  Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. This is a good example. All it took was a couple of  :drink: a few minutes with the manual, and a little common sense, which I lack at times.   ;D

 Since I was having trouble hearing the rear headset, I kept checking the volume on the rear set. What I had done was turn the volume on the front intercom headset off. Dummy. Works great now. Checked all three helmets.  Thanks for all the advice.  Saturday is my BD, #52, so Sunday the kids will be gone and me and the wife are going riding. Now we can talk! That may not be so good after all.  I guess I could always tell her it quit working.   ;)

Never forget, you have the Master controls, and she can't reach them... ;D  You might get thumped on the helmet a few times, but it'll hurt her finger more than it will your head... ;)
