De-catted Breakout Mufflers
« on: April 01, 2016, 06:43:46 PM »

Got bored this afternoon.  Took a spare set of Breakout mufflers and de-catted them.  The exhaust on my 2016 CVO Pro Street is too quiet and I don't see anything available in the market at this time.

This first picture is the baffle removed after drilling out the three stainless rivets.

Yes, I do have a TTS to use to tune as required.

This picture shows the "exhaust" end.  Looking down you will see a block off plate.

Looking down the cat end.  I will chisel the remaining material in the morning.

Not sure how it's going to sound when it's installed.  But what the hell, less than an hour of my time and spare mufflers laying around I don't think I wasted my time.  I'll post a sound clip when it's all back together.

Interesting mate , thanks from Perth Western Australia.

I'll follow this thread and may do the same to a set of non CVO Breakout mufflers as they're easy to get here
