Joined the forum awhile ago, just did my first post but without doing an intro first.  Fixing that now.
Got a 2008 Springer Softail CVO last year after riding my 1978 FXS Low Rider since new.  Road some friends springers and knew I had to move to the balanced motor in a modern bike if I wanted to keep riding in comfort and I really like the handling of the springer.
Found the bike online, purchased unseen and with an unexplained rough running engine.  Got it at a good price so I was OK with needing to do something to get it right.  Ended up that the previous owner took it to a dealer for repair and they replaced the fuel pump but left off the pump outlet line o-ring.  Bike ran but poorly.  Once I figured out the problem and fixed it the bike runs very well.  Ended up being a $5,000 o-ring for the PO!
Looking forward to benefiting from all of the experience on the this forum  Already formulated my list of modifications.

Welcome to the best forum on the web for CVO owners; coming at you from the clear lakes and twisty roads of the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas!

We're glad to have you with us, and hope you'll share your knowledge, ideas, and questions with us.
There are a lot of fine and knowledgable people here on this site who are always willing to help others with their bikes as well as to learn more themselves!

Also, we hope you'll check out the threads regarding our National CVO Harley Get-Togethers (GTG's).  We have an annual GTG out west, one in the Smokies, and one (our first ever) in Eureka Springs, AR in June of 2017 dubbed the "Meet in the Middle" or MITM.  We will have others as time goes along.  We encourage you to participate if you can make it!

As you may already know there is a vast array of experience within our membership that stand ready to assist you in your riding pleasure, not to mention spend some of your hard earned coin.  Take it all in and enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for the welcome.
I already got some help on understanding why my oil tank was empty after sitting for awhile.  Great to have access some much experience.
