LED Spoiler For Tour Pak And Saddle Bags
« on: October 06, 2004, 07:43:05 AM »

Would appreciate any pics of LED spoiler on tour pak and saddle bags. Want to put on mine (when I get it)  but looks like it would get into pin stripping. Like the idea of more lights behind me at night and looks cool. Any pics or comments are Greatly appreciated!!                                                                                                                                                                                    J.Rud

I did not get the pinstriping continued myself...I believe mine is located a little further bacj 9they give three options for the drilling of the holes.

J.Rud look in the thread tour pak graphics I have pics of tour pak with spoiler that has been pinstripped to match the tour pak,  can't help with the spioler on the saddlebags but somebody posted pic somewhere.  Wouldn't have the spoiler pinstripped till I got the tour pak that way they can match the pinstripping to the tour pak so it looks like it flows right in to the spoiler.

Bill, I positioned mine so as to clear my radio antenna when opening the lid so yes, I may have covered up more of the pinstriping that way, but are you saying you were able to install the tour-pak spoiler and not cover up any of the flames?  Seems like that would be difficult to do. JRud I hear you about haveing all the red lights you can, behind you.  I've had two friends (two different situations) rear ended (one, by a drunk and he was killed) and I also just heard about a lady rider in Colarado that got rear ended.

103...

No, it is covering part of it...just not as much  I don't have a pic right now but I admit, I am not going to extend the pinstriping for several reasons:

1.  I hate the look of the bike with the tourpack versus without..so I use it as little as possible.

2.  My wife "needed" the queen chair armrests and more comfortable seat....so I got the comfort stitch.  This seat pushes me forward to a less comfortable position.  I am more comfortable with the stock seat

While I like the storage...I really avoid using it.

Ah, good.  Thanks for the clarification and I agree wholeheartedly with both of your points.  Unfortunately, I got so used to having a king tour-pak (a.k.a., short bed pickup truck box) on my '02 Classic that I wouldn't have been able to live without the convenience of the storage on the SEEG.  Thus, mine is permanent mounted and the spoiler is striped to look as good as it can to go along with the rest of the machine.

Thank you all for your info.  I did recheck all those areas, that you listed and I couldn't find the pictures that I know I saw somewhere on this board.
I plan on installing the tour pak & saddlebag lights this weekend.  I want to have the gold flames added when I am done so that everything will flow together.
I am in the installing the Kuryakyn Smoke Panacea LED Taillight along with the front and rear Kuryakyn Smoked lens LED turn signals.  The tail light has a yellow LED arrow for left or right turns that flash when the turn signals are activated.  When I apply the brakes or use the turn signals I hope that I will be seen with all those LED lights.  I will send pictures when I get everything put together. 05Rider

My wife and I may be heading your way this weekend.  Can you give me a local forcast.  Supposed to me in the mid-60's east of the mountains.

Dan, per the weather report it is supposed to have periods of rain showers until Monday.  The weather was nice all day long with the sun coming out around 10:00 a.m.  The weather stayed nice until 5:00 p.m. when the wind and rain returned.  It is raining slightly as I speak.  The weather has been good when the say it will be bad.  So this is just a guess from a guy in Seattle.  Hope you and yours enjoy your trip.

I installed the tour pack spolier . Don't like the idea of removing the seat every time when I remove the tour pack spolier connection, to remove the tour pack. I got an idea of cutting and resplicing the connectors closer to the saddle bag spolier connection. Any better way? Thanks  don
