I have no idea why Harley stopped supplying those with the bikes, but you can still buy one from them.  They never miss a chance to take things that were standard and find a way to charge you extra for them.  It's part number 71031-04.

I believe you´re sad. That´s not the only HD-Money Saving-Program item: Look closely to the CVO-Button on the tank - in your garage or during nite-runs: the (former) LED-circle to backlight the button has been changed to a squared plexiglass plate with 3 LED´s on one(!) side. So the Letters are only partially lighted ... That looks like directly out of a junkyard-shop. So - compared to the purchase price ...

No "Gold Key" when I bought my CVO Pro Street Breakout.  Must be a cost savings measure for H-D.

According to the PN above it's only available for these 2016 models:

Hi, Jerry ! In fact, what makes me angry is the fact that it has become a fee, I can understand that is no longer produced, it is a choice of H-D, but it is a real crap pay.

I saw you there are other things worse than the old CVO, for example, the banner on screemin eagle tank has become a simple decal ... but it was well built by HD! what makes me angry is the fact that now I have to pay for something that was included in the scope of the bike!

Still got my key from when I bought my '04. Never used it anyway so I let my wife use it as a necklace. But, I do agree with you that Harley should supply it with the CVO's. IMHO

I got free monogrammed Pot Holders and a yardstick with my first new car in 1972. Guess GM can no longer afford it... I am not as enamoured with the Gold Key as most folks, All my CVO's have come with them and I sold each as soon as I got rid of the bikes. So no big deal that they no longer come with bike to me. I would really rather have the yardstick and we honestly, still have one of the pot-holders in the pot holder drawer, so I guess they meant more to us than the gold keys which are long gone.
