Hey Kiro, I see you relocated your tail lights as well. It looks like that will be the first step regardless of how I decide to do this. Did you do that yourself? On a scale of 1-10 how hard was it? And the last question for now... Where did you get the bag guards?

I had my FXR rebuilt/modified from the frame out starting in 1997. The fellow who did the work was a good friend of mine and owned a shop, he's now deceased, but he did the light relocation as well as the other work except the paint. Not sure about now, but then you could buy a relocation kit and if I recall correctly, it's not too difficult - probably a 6. The bag guards were easy to find, either H-D or aftermarket and I'm sure these are still available. The attached image shows what they look like with the bags off. I can probably find part numbers for these items in my records somewhere, although they may no longer apply. If you need help let me know - more than happy to assist if I can. BTW - I was informed Seacoast H-D has some mechanics they are FXR aficionados. It may be worth talking with somebody there if this is the case...
