Ok I have read a lot about the touring bikes a some point having high speed wobble or having rear wheel steering while in a curve. I have read about True Track any body know any thing about all this - Looking for info? I am about to pick up my Black Ice SERK and I have seen a post from Hoist where he mentioned having a True Track as one of his Mods. Looking for advice any one
This is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.
Some people have experienced high speed wobble and some have not. Some have put on the true track type devices with mixed results, from my reading. Wobble can be caused by a number of things...different amounts of fork oil in each leg, improper air pressure in rear shocks, improper tire pressures, wheel alignment, steering head tightness/looseness, wind buffeting, road conditions, etc., etc. My bike has no wobble, and it's been in tripple digits with just me on the bike and two up. While installing one of these devices won't HURT anything, it may be unecessary. If it was me, I would ride the bike and see what it does, if anything. Some "wallowing" may occur in high speed curves, but in my opinion, it is caused by suspension issues inherent to the bike, which can be corrected.
My 2 cents...before you bolt something like this on, I would see if you have a problem.
