Good example of liberal thinking (or not):

The federal government which has Tomahawk cruise missiles, Apache, Blackhawk and Lakota helicopters, used the code name "Geronimo" in the attack that killed Osama bin Laden officially objects to the name of the Washington Redskins.

You can't make this stuff up!

You can't make this stuff up!

The difference is that Apache, Blackhawk, Lakota, Geronimo, etc. are legitimate names of tribes or individuals.  The world "redskin", on the other hand, was a slur used to describe all native Americans.  Kind of like using the n-word for black people, or using a certain term to describe people of Asian descent, etc.  There is a reason why Native Americans protest the name of Washington's NFL team, but do not protest the name of Chicago's NHL team.  One is demeaning, and the other honors the original owner of the name, Chief Black Hawk of the Sauk tribe.

SCREW  YOU!  Ignorance?    I  Have  Known The Chippewa's for  OVER 30  years      I  might NOT no every single grant or tax break  they get.

  I'm  NOT  degrading the  Native Americans!    Like the  Donald says...  The system  is  there,  Use  It!   


  To  this  Day  I  still  run around with The Guy who brought the  casino to Detroit from the tribe.  I  go to the reservation, I no the families. 

  That's  all  I'm gonna say.      If your a Native American  Don't  Hide what you get, own  it  !     Not  a  Secret.

  Just  Like Any  Race of People.....   You  have  your  givers and  your takers!

Nothing personal intended Jeff, I just thought I would remind folks that it doesn't make something funny or humorous just because it's posted in the humor section.  After the site owner shut down all the political posts (thank you Neal), some people thought it was OK to skirt the rules by posting such things in the humor section.

I'm not a big fan of the PC police and all the over-the-top stuff they promote, but in some cases (like this one) I fully support those with a legitimate gripe about ethnic or racial slurs.
