Well after telling John Smith at RadioSound my radio symptoms, he diagnosed it as a pinched violet/black wire. He told me how to trace it, and I did. Sure enough I found where it was pinched, and relieved it. He saved me from a repair bill. He said the "37" is an error code for too much tape slack in the player.
I was thinking of changing out to the Harmon Kardon system, but with service like this, I'll stick with the old system I have.

I'll second great service from Radio Sound. Too bad we can't get that for the new radios. I've been trying to get the little metal plate to cover up the hole in the back of the radio from where I removed the GPS module. It's not a service part, but a radio part. To this date, I have been unsuccessful in finding the needed plate.
I called my dealer, and they don't have any contact info for HK. The only thing they have is instructions on how to fill out a warranty claim for a failed radio.
I called HD Customer No Service and they told me I would have to take my radio to my dealer and have the dealer send it in for warranty repairs. I only want to buy a stupid little plate!!!
My dealer was finally able to get a number for United Radio in Syracuse, NY, so I called them. Nope! They won't sell me a part. They are only a service shop. They tell me I will have to send my radio in and go through the whole stinkning process to get a plate added to the back of my radio.
It took my dealer over 30 minutes to just get a phone number for United Radio. It's like its being kept super secret who to contact for repairs. And then when you find out who to contact, they are totally close-minded to trying to go outside the norm and help me get this little plate to cover the hole.
Bring back Radio Sound!!!
In the end, I contacted another local dealer, and they have a GPS install coming up in a week or so, and they are going to try to save that plate for me, if the owner consents.
What a painful process this has been.
