Pretty sure the riding will have to be put on hold
« on: May 04, 2016, 10:18:28 AM »

Darn issue I had with a table saw in the 80's, and 5 surgeries to correct since
has come back to haunt me some more, loosing circulation in the left hand, can't make a fist, swollen big time!
they told me the scar tissue would be an issue, I go in this afternoon and already
know what they will say needs to be done, took about a month the last time to use.
and of course the weather is now the best it's ever been,
at least the bike is cleaned up,
I can ride just real hard to hold the clutch in, which is a must

Darn table saw's anyway.  I have four friends that managed to get a hand caught up in a table saw and lost digits, including my veterinarian and a school teacher in Joplin, Missouri...

Sorry to hear about your problem. Ever thought of a suicide shifter and a left side foot clutch? An added benefit would be that not many people could steal your bike.

never played the "Disability card" I got after
kind of sick the chart they have on how much you get per digit, limb, etc.
no, I plan on working thru it and getting back again, to damn many good things out there to do with both hands
starting with hugging the wife!

I'm running out of Tendons in the arm they keep taking out and putting back in the hand!

Gotta love a system with naturally occurring built in redundancies that can be moved from place to place at need.   :2vrolijk_21:

I hate that had to happen to you (or anyone)!  I hope you fixed up fast and you are always able to enjoy holding what you want be it a bike or woman!

I meet a fella who rides BMW. He lost 4 fingers at the first knuckle on his right hand and the two middle fingers lost all the way to the palm. He operates the hand brake with one stubby index finger and the accelerator with his palm. Pretty damn amazing.

First visit:

Wow! Got to wonder when the first thing the doc says is

"You have got a college text book case going on here"
So I quickly responded

"Cool, I run right over and let them have a look so long as it's an all girl college"!

I'll say, that's six fingers on that hand!  :orange:

Today was the MRI, but I think it should of been called "Torture Tuesday"

Never, ever stick a VET in a MRI tube head first without advisements
some young Techs just do not get it

one, she handed me ear plugs but should of made note on how load it is going to be,
oh! it will only be about 30 minutes

now lay on your side, stick your arm way above your head
turn your wrist the opposite direction that it will normally go
and don't move!

about 30 minutes into it, it stops and she tells me we have to repeat the last 6 minute episode, you moved
I was getting close
and then she tells me oh it's only a couple of more segments!

if the noise had be constant, the same maybe,  it just kept changing, had to say stop
enough is enough

oh we could medicate you and start all over, nope, I was getting real close to the old days
