Dynojet Target Tune for Power Vision?
« on: May 06, 2016, 09:17:36 PM »

Ordered mine today.  Fuel Moto is taking my existing dyno tuned map and adjusting it to make it Target Tune compatible.  It makes a lot of sense to me to be able to use the wideband O2 sensors in closed-loop mode.

Anybody have any experience with these yet?

Thanks,

I have the Target Tune on my bike since 8 months. Great device, but I'm still in the tuning process...

Did you do the Auto-Tune upgrade or did you go straight to Target Tune?  Any opinions?

I think my bike ran slightly better with with the same map prior to TT.  I wasn't too worried about it since the 117 build happens on June 13th.

With target tune you really need to get the base MAP VE tables dialed in as tight as possible.

My pre-TT map was created with AT-Pro on a dyno by a very experienced PV tuner and was pretty solid.  I sent the map to Dynojet and they converted it to TT, but I think it ran better before.

Prior to TT I was just using the stock sensors and working on my map with the basic PV autotune. I didn't had an already well done map and sent this one to FuelMoto for converting it.

Now I'm still working on it, the bike doesn't run bad, but it's not as wonderful as expected. And I have some issues as mileage, rear sensor values on decel... My work is not done!

That's the way it should be used.  I'm on it a fan of it right now, I think it was a ways to  go as far as interpreting o2 sensor signals.

Interesting to hear a compare of a pro tuned bike compared to TT.

Why should it run better before TT? It might need a new tuning, using the better capabilities of TT over stock. Then, you'll be able to compare.

Just a little curious whether your exhaust system has some sort of solenoid-operated flap, or does it instead simply flow straight through always the same?  I'd suppose an multi-functional exhaust would be less-easily tuned as such, and I'm thinking "Europe," and "may be a two-position exhaust?"

I wouldn't necessarily expect it to run any better switching from a good running non-TT map to a converted TT map, but I certainly did'nt expect it to run any worse.

No worries though, Jamie at FuelMoto is supposed to be sending me a base map today for the 117 build coming up on June 13th.  Hyperformance will be dyno tuning with PV/TT post build.  So, it's all going to change.

I agree with you though, there are merits to tuning with the TT online vs converting existing map to TT.

On CVO models, there is no active exhaust valve in Europe. Same exhaust as US models
