Fairing badge for the Jester
« on: February 07, 2007, 03:07:47 PM »

I always thing that the batwing lacks a badge, any model, any paintjob.  Of course it's hard to find something, not least because of the curve of the fairing.  The lack of something on the Jester keeps bugging me too, and I suddenly got to thinking that the SUBTOTF Cloisonne might be about the right curve, and the "V" would sort of match the jester part.  Anyone tried that?  If not, how do you all think it would look?

i think it'd look pretty good...   you might print a picture of it and try it first..just to see how it looks...

It's not on a Jester.  But I think JR has the emblem you're talking about on his front fairing.  Might drop him a PM to make sure and get a picture location.

2nd pix of JR's.  Looks really good to me.  Might tape it (like cellophane tape) to my jester just to see how it would look.  On JR's nana it really compliments the bike imo.

Ah!  That's NOT the SUBTOTF cloisonne though - dunno what that one is.   It's nice, but I think the SUBTOTF one would be nicer on a jester!

Like this?  Isn't this the same emblem but in gold vs silver?

Here is the link:  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php/topic,9318.0.html

I think it is the silver wing like JR's but plated gold.  P/N 91745-02.  You guys correct me if I'm wrong.

No (well yes, it's the same as JR's) the SUBTOTF one is the little round black and chrome one..... like in this pic:

Ah, there is the confusion.  The SUBTOTBF was the Stupid Ugly Black Thing on the Back Fender, i.e., the ugly little black plastic disk on the 05s.  So the alternatives to it have been a wide variety of emblems that people have chosen to do away with it; including the one JR has used on his fairing.

The emblem you're looking at wasn't the SUBTOTBF but was the stock emblem on the 04 SEEGs (and I think now some others too).

Ah, you're missing my phraseology 2L!  I refer to it as the SUBTOTF Cloisonne not the SUBTOTF, cos it goes in the same place!  :)
