No I already bought a chain driven cam set so no need to waste any more brain cells on gear drive vs chain drive.

I bought new bearings and seals inner and outer. I just wish I had looked at these lifters sooner, it would have cost less to cut the pushrods and replace them with the S&S quickie pushrods just to get a look at the cam lobes and lifters earlier than to now have to replace the cam and hope that the metal that came off the cam lobes and lifter rollers hasn't been eating away at the inside of my motor.
Those are bad but not bad enough to cause any damage to the rest of the motor.

Man I hope you're right. Someone told me that those metal shavings from the cam and lifter rollers are harder than cutting steel.

They told you the truth. If anything goes it will be the oil pump first. Good luck with your upgrade. That would not have been my first cam choice but no big deal. Make sure you do the cam bearings. Good Luck.

It wasn't my first choice either but after spending some time on the phone today with Fuel Moto and looking at some Dyno results it should suite my needs and work with my intake and exhaust. I'll know as soon as I get it installed because it's going straight to the tuner.

If you have not done it already, pull the crank position sensor and see if there's any metal on it?

Ok, I am waiting on the cams to be delivered so I will do that. Thanks

Well yes that is true but yours are just starting to show a wear pattern, not flaking yet, so unless there is more problems no harm has been done.
Was the tick in the top end?

Had the bike Dyno'd today

107hp
117# torque

The torque is right where I want it, kicks in about 2100rpm and runs up and to the right to the rev limiter 6100rpm. I started at 86hp 100#tq

Fullsac DX & 2" power cores
K&N filter
Woods TW-7H
S&S Lifters & Rods

Tuned with the Harley Pro Tuner because it came with the bike. I'm satisfied with it. I did pull the filter off and took a hacksaw to it and no debris in it at all. Also changed both inner and out cam chain tensioners the inside had a nasty spot on it.

Forgot to mention this and wish I had known before buying the HL2T lifters. I ended up pulling the spacers out after starting the bike and getting a lot of clicking from the valve train. The pushrods were set correctly so I called S&S and they told me I don't need them with standard compression on a 110. The guy said the lifter bottoms out on the spacer and they are just inherently noisy. So I pulled out the spacers and it eliminated the tapping.

He said they are only beneficial if you have high compression and or no compression release. Could of saved myself a few bucks and some frustration had I known that before I bought them.

I'd like to add here, since no one else did, the OP referred to some of his stock 2012 parts as "SE."  Lifters and cranks and suck are not Screamin Eagle parts, they are regular HD parts.  Our CVO's have SE heads, and a larger bore, and nice paint and chrome goodies, but motor internals are normal parts.

I think one reason the lifters take a beating and pass that on to the cams is the stock SE valve springs.  I had GMR do a valve job on mine and he found fractured valve guides.

I replace my tires and lifters once a year.

Good point, I also found out through this process that almost all lifters, regardless of brand are made at the same place. Throws some uncertainty into the Mexican lifter theory.
