ROAD RAGE!
« on: May 31, 2016, 08:23:55 AM »

Good Gawd!  Just saw a clip of some crazy driver pulling to the right, running over top of a 2up Biker stopped in traffic!  Saw it on Fox News just now!  What the hell is wrong with people?!?!?  Does anybody have any details?  One of the craziest things I've ever seen!!!  Hope that couple on the Bike didn't sustain serious injuries!  Later--HUBBARD

If you watch the YouTube version there is exchange of words between them.  But what the driver did was not warranted and should be tried for attempted murder.

Saw it and heard some sort of exchange between the car driver and bike rider. Not sure who started what. I can tell you I would have shot the stupid sob in the car.

Yeah, they just interviewed the biker and his BSR on the today show this morning. The biker said he could not say on national tv what was exchanged via words.

The dude in the cage is simply a Dirtbag with w/o a license.

I'm sure there's a mean azz "biker" who is locked up in the prison who will take care of "goldilocks" for that stupid azzhat move!

It's getting more crazy on the concrete jungle for bikers.

I hate to state the obvious here guys and I know there are some really tough guys on here. But getting into any type of verbal exchange with a cager is stupid. Its like bringing a knife to a gun fight. You are going to lose. Best thing to do even when you are right is just let it go! As one of my old police buddy's favorite saying goes " Please do not mistake my kindness for weakness". In 18 years of service he never pulled his firearm.
I am temped often when folks do stupid things, but its not worth my life or years in prison to be the "toughest" guy! Just my $.02

Agreed. BUT it's hard to move over when somebody intentionally targets you and makes a hard right hand turn into and over your bike.

I'm honestly not sure what I would have done under the same circumstances but there are those on this site who are "packing" and in my opinion the car driver could have been justifiably shot since he is guilty of attempted vehicular manslaughter.

Florida is still a stand your ground state.

Just saying.   :2vrolijk_21:

Sad to see things escalate to such a situation. No real easy or simple solution to the problem of road rage.
Just my .02 but we need to teach everyone respect for human life and it's not worth killing someone to vent your frustration or anger. Operating a vehicle is controlling deadly force and should be respected as such whether it's expressing anger or recklessness in things like DUI.
All the video cameras around now show their availability with police involved shootings and just imagine you being the shooter and the video being played out many times on the news or internet. In most states the shooter has to demonstrate that they were in defense of their life or someone else's life in order to be justified. Problem is in this scenario you might be justified shooting the driver as he was coming at you but if you killed him who would put their foot on the brakes to stop the car? Maybe his last reaction would be to stomp the accelerator? And if the video showed he was leaving the area and you were not in danger you probably would NOT be justified in shooting him.......
As mentioned maybe the best course of action is to break off from contact with the jerk and don't let it get so far? It is hard for one person to have a fight........

Local news here (Tampa Bay) says they raised the bail to $115K and charged him with a couple counts of some type of attempted murder today.
Whoever made the comment regarding gun/shooting, if you shot at the guy as he was leaving... you would be the one in jail. Get a grip here, do not argue with folks in cars/trucks. You cannot win if they decide to take action such as this guy did.
