TTS Map request
« on: June 01, 2016, 05:52:27 PM »

I have a good tune in my bike now but my PC crashed and I don't have the tune anymore and don't know how to tell what tune I am running. If anyone has a good tune to share or info about how I can get mine back into the TTS files I would appreciate it. 2015 Road Glide Ultra CVO 110 with cat removed and 2 inch fulsac baffles with TTS tune.

Hopefully you backed up the OE tune and your adjusted tune on a thumbdrive? I think most folks do, I did,  but if not it is no problem to copy the one in the bike, just reload your TTS on your new computer and connect to the bike as directed.

If I understand you correctly, you want to get the tune you have in your bike right??
You have a TTS MT9 file in your ecm you want to see, right??
Run the TTS updater, open Mastertune hook up your bike, go to the box marked "program" in the upper left corner
go to the drop down box on the right and "get ecm info"
I'm not sure on all the terms but you can look it all up on the help files in Master tune.
I just did this to my bike last week. Pulled my tune out of the ecm, tweaked it a bit, saved under a new file name, reloaded the tune and bike is running great.
I hope this helps a bit, I'm sure if you give Steve C a shout he can help more than I can.
Go to "tech support" down the list here.

In Master Tune under File.  Load File from Interface.  There should be a MTE and a MT8 or MT9 file.  The MT8 or 9 is the one you want.  IIRC this should be a MT9.  If it is.  There you go.  If it is a MT8 file, it is obsolete and it needs to be upgrades to MT9.  This will actually get you the tuned calibration that was last loaded into your ECM.

Why? The calibration is backed up on the blue interface along with the calibration (stock) that was in the ECM when the bike was reprogrammed.
That way you always have both the stock, original calibration, along with the last custom calibration loaded into the ECM.
No longer a need to use a thumb drive to save the calibration(s).
Hope this helps,
Bob

Hey, Bob.

How much is a <10 GB thumb drive these days, a few bucks?  I don't know just how generally archival they actually are, but it is cheap and otherwise safe digital redundancy.  Gotta be longer-lasting than a home-burned optical disc anymore.  Probably most folks have suffered digital data loss of some kind at one time or another, even yet.

I respectfully vote "go for it, what the hell."

What would be the point if you are taking it to Dave?
