I am installing an S&S 124lc with 585 ez-start cams.  I know longer will be using the electronic compression releases.  Does anyone know where I can get appropriate cable caps to seal off the existing electrical connectors.

Turn them off in the software of your tuner and leave them in place.

If you disconnect the ACR's from the main harness of the bike, it shouldn't be necessary to "cap" the female half of the connectors on that main harness.  Just tape or zip tie them to the rest of the main harness, and turn the ACR's off in the ECM. 

Some wiring and connector vendors do make dummy plugs or caps for unused connectors for optional items in wiring harnesses, but I have no idea who makes the connector for this application or if they make such a cap.  The part number for the connector housings is 72007-05 for the connector in the wire harness, and 72009-05 for the mating half that comes with the ACR's.  You could just buy two 72009-05's from a dealership and then plug the part where the wiring enters the back of the housing, or just remove the housings from the ACR's you're removing, remove the wires and terminal pins, and use that as a cap.

I had already turned them off in the software.  I was just looking for an elegant solution for protecting the unused connectors from corrosion just incase the day ever comes in might need them again.  I ended up finding two of them in my shop.  They were left over from a long ago install from a Thunder-Max ecm install, since removed.

Harley does in fact sell a cover for that , I have done several bikes that where a 96 to start with but had the ACR harness in place and they had a cap on the end of the harness.

I never thought to check a non-ACR wiring diagram Steve.  Sure enough, the harness connections are there and there is a dust cap installed.  Good catch.

I just pointed out you could buy them.. GRC looked it up.      Its  used on a few things that have that same plug  purge solenoid if I recall on the CA bikes.  As well there was a early intake air temp  plug that use to just hand in the harness for a few years like 08-10 , same cap.

Thanks GRC and GMR!  Much appreciated.  I got the ones I used now from the O2 sensors that I capped off a long time ago when I used a Thunder Max from Zippers.  I had to dispose of the unit when it quit working and could not get support to get it operating again from Zippers.  O got so frustrated trying to get support I finally just cut off the leads and in the trash can it went.
