You can get some Lyndell Pads, (not sure about spelling), that way your brake dust will look like yellow or light brown pollen, as opposed to black.  Hehehehe.  Later--HUBBARD

Been using Lyndall for a dozen years, very good investment in my opinion.

Same here. Very little dust, no noise. My last set had 40,000+ miles on them when I sold the bike, still had a lot of "meat" on them.

CUSE brake pad recommendations??
« Reply #8 on: September 18, 2016, 08:02:56 AM »

Interested on feedback for replacing the brake pads, front & back on my 09 CVO Ultra FLHTCUSE4:

Are Brembo OEM the best way to go, or does anyone have any other recommendations?

Also, I'm about 26k miles now...I understand riding style & journey type will change the outcome, but what should be an average life span for front/rear pads?

Appreciate any feedback.

I change mine as needed!

It all depends how & where you ride.

I use OEM brake pads on all my bikes.

I agree with this, depends on how you ride. Personally I disagree with the use of OEM pads, I replaced my OEM's before 500 miles on this bike, and at about a 1000 miles on my SERG. But then after that I only replace when needed and as stated before I prefer Lyndall

Seems lots run the Lyndall Z+ pads, are there any of you running the X or Extreme pad? I just bought a set of the X pads to try.

On my 05 the brakes squeaked and groaned and had brake dust and put on the Lyndhall Z's and was happy.

My 10 and 14 have had the stock pads with no squeak or moan and little dust.  Will stick with stock on my 14..

Never had any issues with OE, like the feel and performance, no surprises...

Yep, I'm going back to OE when I pad-up again.  Lyndalls ain't worth a chit when wet.  And, I don't see any reduction in dust either, it's just a lighter color.  On my Bike, anyway.  Later--HUBBARD
