The builder just finished up the engine on my 15 CVO water cooled street glide.

It's a 127 with a d&d boarzilla.

It put down 140/143.   I have a 58mm on it now, the guy doing the tuning is thinking that it might benefit from a 72mm.   But thats pretty big.

was wondering what those with experience throught,  i'd like to max this thing out, and do a ton with auto performance stuff, but really lost on the bike engine.

on the 58, we have the screaming eagle extreme billet kit pictured

with the breather off, we picked up another 3,  and i didn't know if there was another breather that may flow more, or if 3hp is typical loss with a filter one

i know somewhat limited on size with the front bag / radiator on the front

gonna put 2k miles on it and break her in some and see if we can't make a little more power.  just trying to maximize the combo

My 124 at 160+ HP is running a 62 mm.   The 131 is also a 62.    Largest I could imagine is 66 and to me based on numbers seems like overkill.    If you go bigger you have to have a super tune to keep low rpm drive ability .

Just curious, who did you have the 127 tuned by in Cincy?

I put a Tilley/K&N on my 124.  It's 1 1/2" wider than original.  Had to punch the backing plate to accommodate the HPI 62MM TB.  Dyno'd 150 HP.  Harry's is 160+, alright.  "+" about 20!

i'm just wondering if it's worth it to go from the 58 to the 62

i love the look of my air cleaner setup too, but if it's worth it to go to something else, that one above looks quite a bit thicker

Yep, the Stock one is 2" wide.  I'm thinking the Tilley/K&N is 3 1/2" wide.  I'll check it when I get home tonite, and give you an exact on the width.  Later--HUBBARD

beefcake,

I stand corrected.  I just measured the Tilley/K&N on Maybelle.  It's exactly 3" wide.  1" wider than OE.  Later--HUBBARD

Well I don't know anything about this HP stuff, but whatever Harry's got was good enough to walk past Maybelle!  Just saying :trailer:

I may be interested in the 58mm throttle body if you swap to a larger one:)

Harry is telling the truth, it is 160 +  I guess they always feel faster when you're riding on the back...

You've got enough mouth for another set o' teeth!  You and TN always runnin' that mouth!  You don't know what Maybelle's got, nor does Harry.  One short burst does not a race make.  She ain't never had her legs streched all the way out.  Ain't no competetion up here, they're just in the way.  Why don't you and TN pull your chit up on Maybelle?  She'll be waitin' on ya' in July.  Later--HUBBARD
