How much preload are you using - as in how many clicks did you of adjustment did you use? It might be as simple as backing off a couple clicks- not rotations of the knob as the two are not necessarily the same - remove two clicks and see if it improves. There is a chart, probably in your owners manual since the shocks are OE as to the recommended settings for the load or weight your carrying.

I think I run about 17 or 18 clicks when 2 up and loaded and when just two up I'll take a few clicks out. This helps the suspension keep the tire in good contact.

As far as changing the front end you'll have to check but I think you need to buy the dual cartridge setup if available (and I'm not sure if it is) I don't think that you can just have another cartridge installed in the non cartridge leg. I would think the cartridges for the dual setup are calibrated differently.

I don't remember how many clicks but I set the shocks according to the book for the weight. I am going to play with the setting some before I replace them.

Quick Update - I readjusted the preload and went for 100+ mile ride yesterday. Night and day difference! The rear tire stayed planted like it should.

Apparently, if you really READ the manual it helps. When I originally read the preload chart I turned the adjuster 13 "clicks", when I re-read it, it calls for 13 TURNS. The adjuster clicks every half turn, so adding the other half of the recommended preload made a big difference.
