For any of you living in the Georgia area you probably already heard of the four lives lost on Friday in preparation for the Pirates of Lanier Poker Run. The boat owner was from the area I consider home in Kentucky as was his wife and the other couple who also perished. All have since been recovered and arrangements are being made. Art was a rider, racer, boat enthusiast and general motorsports enthusiast. I had only met him once last Oct when he put on a benefit car show for a friend with health problems. He seemed to be a good guy with a reputation of helping anyone he could.
Please keep him in your thoughts, he was only 46 and has kids, family and a large group of employees who will severely miss him.

Sad story all around. Unfortunately that sort of thing happens every year in that area of the lake, known to locals as "Party Cove".
