TSSM issues figured out, I think.
« on: July 28, 2016, 07:30:56 AM »

I think I figured out my security system problem, no its just a matter of is there a fix or do I need to replace the module.  I noticed last night that the auto cancelling for the right turn signal works once in a while, but the left didn't work at all.  If the module doesn't know the bike is leaning on the kickstand will that keep it from arming?  and if thats the problem is there a way to unstick the bank angle sensor?

The alarm system should set with the bike sitting perfectly level, not just when it's tilted over on the jiffy stand.  And the bank angle sensor isn't the only thing that dictates the turn signal cancellation.  While the TSSM may be bad and causing your security system issues or turn signal issues, it is also possible you have other electrical problems and the module is fine.  See if you can get hold of the Electrical and Diagnostic Manual for your model and follow the diagnostic routines.

TSSM question
« Reply #3 on: July 29, 2016, 10:04:23 AM »

I have a O2 fxdwg 3 that the security systems not working on. I've come to the conclusion I need to replace the module to get the security system working. The question I have is do I have to go back with the original module , or can I upgrade it and get a module with the proximity fob instead of the button fob

You'll need to stay with the original type module.
