I bought the sundowner for my Road King, used it for approx 1 year then had ProPad install gel inserts front and rear. Wife liked it before gel and loved it after. We have done several 500 mile days with no problems for either of us. In MY opinion it also looks much better than the comfort stitch seat. Mine is currently on ebay for sale. It was for my RK Classic and I bought a new Sundowner for a RK Custom for my S/E bike.

I know the dilema!  Very uncomfortble trips with strange grumbling sounds coming from behind.  I've used the Corbin Dual Touring seat on my last three bikes with excellant results.  They're a little more firm than most of the aftermarket seats, but after about a thousand miles, they do, as advertised break in to fit.  The medium oval backrests available with this seat are, in my opinion, the best rests in the business.  http://www.corbin.com/   Good luck.

Jim ,
The best seat I have found for me and the wife is made by Mustang. I also installed their backrest.

David, do you have a couple pictures of that seat, that you can post??
