Need to Dyno
« on: August 20, 2016, 01:46:56 AM »

I'm running 4" Rinehart true duals now and I'm considering changing to the high flow baffles.  My bike is tuned now with the original baffles.  Will I need to re-dyno of I decide to make the change?

Thanks!

It's my understanding that anytime we change air intake or exhaust, on these Engines, we need to tune.  But that's just what I do.  I'm not a wrench, or an authority on these Twin-Cam Engines.  I rely on my Engine builder, and a select few of members here, when I have Engine concerns.  All I do is run the hell outta' mine!  Later--HUBBARD

Anytime you make an exhaust change that gains power, it will run leaner in the area of power gain.
Opposite will happen when your loose power from the change, it will run richer in the area of power loss.

When you add the larger baffles your going to loose bottom end power and it will run richer in that area.
No emergency to remap when your going backwards on power.

Won't larger baffles allow more air flow and make it leaner?   :nixweiss:

If there was a power gain from the larger baffles, yes. In this mans case he is already past the optimum size.
Bigger isn't always better. Unless its your garage, bank account or one other personal item.  ;D
