I believe the Harley saddlebags are ABS plastic and the aftermarket bags are fiberglass the same as many aftermarket streatched bags.

Harley bags (at least on recent years) are ABS. Most of the aftermarket bags are also ABS. I have aftermarket bags on my '15 and had them on my '11 also. Overall material is good. Sometimes your body man will have more prep work on them than HD bags. It just depends on how fussy they are. I've had good luck with them both times as far fitting the stock lids and  the holes lining up.

The Harley stuff hasn't been fiberglass for quite a few years.  Aftermarket vendors are all over the place as to both materials and quality.  In just the last six months I've had my hands on both an ABS and a fiberglass tour pak and saddlebags of each as well.

The fiberglass pak I was messing with for a bit was surprisingly good for a fiberglass piece that you know is going to need final prep before paint.  One of the saddlebags I saw (someone else's, not mine) was just terrible.

Of my own also recently got an ABS tour pak.  Came from a place called Fairing Factory (I think that's right).  Absolutely outstanding.  I could not have been more impressed with the quality of the molding and the accuracy and precision of all the edge trimming and final holes drilling.  Just a really really well done piece.

The CVO Street Glide already has the streatched bags.  And with my 2010 at stock height, on more than one occassion I scraped the bottom of the bag while getting to aggressive in a curve/corner.  Eventually, it tore the metal skid plate that's mounted to the bottom of bag, completly off.  So you'll need to take that into consideration when deciding how much of a streatched bag you're looking for and how aggressive of a rider you are.  Of course, if you're bike is lowered from stock then that's going to decrease your lean angle even more.  :nixweiss:

I'll check with a buddy of mine in the morning. He has the setup you're looking for. I'll find out the make but I think it's Bad Dad (sic).

From my buddy.
"Dirty bird bags, bad dad fenders."
His isn't a CVO, hence he needed the fender also.

I actually got their razor in the 2014 and up model. Just liked the lines better for the Road King.  Like the new hardware better too.

My 09 isn't going anywhere and with the wife always riding I think its time to loose the chopped and go the king route. This may be an option worth looking at
