Dyno results from 110" to 117" kit?
« on: August 23, 2016, 08:44:57 AM »

I have a friend interested in the 117" kit. He is not extremely tech savvy so I am helping him research. He has a 2016 Street Glide that is completely stock. For those that have installed the 117 kit, do you mind sharing your dyno sheets so I can give him an idea of the results? I know all results can vary based on the tune and other factors. Some have done the kit and went with different components such as pistons, cams, headwork, etc. We are mainly looking for dyno results from just the base kit.

He will also have Fullsac DX headers and a V&H slip-on of some sort going on the same time as the kit.
Thank you!

Look around you will see we just did two of them ,

He has a CVO SG or std SG ?? if so the 110 drop on kit is a basic option for that build if that is the case

SE 110 drop on kit comp ratio 10.2
DD fat cat with perf baffle
GMR CNC heads
GMR 600 cam
TTS tuner
AIM 84+ 480 spring

Steve is that dip at 3000 a characteristic of the baffle in the fatcat?    In the early versions we saw it then they seemed to have gotten rid of it, is it back?    You used to be able to tune a lot of it out, just not all of it is that the case again?

The perf core is the reason for that shape ..( I would not call it a dip myself the power is climbing across the board )  I did think that in some cases the curve was due to build but I just did a back to back on the perf vs the new vortex baffle  I would have to go and over lay the two but approx 1000 RPM back to the left . Most time the curve is dictated by the pipe.

The build could have been hit harder,.. the comp ratio is only set at  10.2 at 10.5-10.8 I am sure it would have been stronger down low but the curve will look the same just yield more ftlbs.

I am a fan of the spiral louvered or vortex same thing style baffle. We have seen a uch nicer overall curve the Rush and Dragos pipes use that style of baffle and never seem to be lacking .

V&H still use the perf core in the 2-1 and look how those curves end up , Freedom same thing

Good info. I'm thinking of doing The same thing. Looking for some information on what guys have been able to get out of these motors.  However, unlike your friend,  I'm pretty tech  savvy.

1)  Clear your schedule for an evening.
2)  Buy a case of beer.
3)  Enjoy the 75+ pages of reading on the "117 kit" thread.

Here's the sheet from my 117. A little different circumstances in my case as I had this done under the ESP warranty after the 110 had problems coming home from Daytona this year. I was perfectly happy with the power from the 110 but when the dealer told me I could upgrade to the 117 and only have to pay the upgrade fee I decided to go for it.
