Looks like they finally figured out how to get speakers in the Twin cooled models. Here is the link if you're interested.

Ad says the speakers and wiring harness is $299.00 and IF you have Boom II you need ++. I am not seeing the added amount to get to $1400.00. Where did I miss the other $1100.00? I am sure you are correct but help me out here. Did you contact a dealer regarding installation? That part I wouldn't need so what did they quote for labor.

I just think this does not add up. Did the dealer you talked to verify all these charges? Who was the dealer? Nothing in the fitment tab that says all this extra parts are required and it being such a new part I just wonder if this is something a dealer parts guy guessed at.
Thanks

I'm gonna agree with Don here.  $1,400 is WAY too much for speakers that "snap" into place.  The wiring harness routing and connection to the factory system would be maybe an hour labor UNLESS the MoCo has put that connection plug under the seat then tank removal and other things.  Removing the faring isn't that hard anymore but I wouldn't put it past the MoCo to make a simple install as complicated as possible.  Still, that $1,400 quote sure sounds way off I would think..... :nixweiss:

Reading the "fitment" blurb listed for these $299 speakers may shed light on the $1,400 install costs?

If I recall the speakers, pods and wiring harnesses from hog tunes were right around 300 bucks give or take. I added and aftermarket amp (an amp is a must) there is a small place for an amp inside the batwing fairing. Had my local sound guy connect every thing up I think when I was done it was right around $ 750.00 for everything. Completely installed and done. The Hogtune speakers offer a different tone than the boom II that cuts right through engine and wind noise. Now one issue that didn't matter to me. Because I didn't use an additional Boom amp and have Harley connect everything up the Hogtune speakers do not work with the AVC when you slow or stop. Now that doesn't bother me at all. I am sorry I don't recall the make of the amp I used but it was a perfect size and power too. I had another buddy I ride with that also has a 2015 SESG do the exact same thing and he loves it. It amazing how much lower I run the volume with the added speakers even at 80 plus MPH.
