Just another NewB from NY,(no, not NYC)
« on: August 25, 2016, 10:08:39 PM »

Hey Guys,
Glad ta meet yous. I just bought a slightly used, Orange  2008 FXSTSSE2 and I'm looking forward to trading tips and telling lies with yas. I've been riding Harleys since 1975, and still have every one I bought, -1, (an '08 FXD), the bike I traded in for my CVO. They range from a 1960 DuoGlide, my first, to an '82 FXE, an' '06 FLHTC, to this new, to me, CVO springer, and a few others. I'd have to go out in my barn and check to see what I have today, it's always changing.  ;D  I'm a 60 year young old coot and I don't remember all that well anymore, but I can still find my way home, so I'm not all that concerned yet. I work on my own bikes, but I'm kinda leery about putting a wrench to the CVO, and hopefully I won't have to for a long time!
Well, yous guys take it easy, and the drinks are on me. Barkeep, set 'em up!

Hey Mike!,
I used to live in N. Charleston, James Island, and Johns Island from 1978 to 1982. Used to play in a band, "Edge", played drums and used to play a lot of bars in the area. My favorites were Howie's on Savanna Hwy. and Stony's in Goose Creek! Man, I had some times there!! Booze, Broads, and Bikes, and plenty of sex, drugs and Rock and Roll! Those were the times of my life!! Seems like a whole life ago! I rode my Panhead all over the Lowcountry back then! Great riding, out to Folly Beach at night, rte 61 North past Magnolia Gardens, and Rte 17 N, and S for that matter.
Where do you live in the Lowcountry?

Congratulations on your new CVO, and Welcome to the site from The Lowcountry of South Carolina!

Hey Mj,
 Glad to meet ya!
I gotta get out there someday. I've never been any farther south or east than Bethel in NYS. NY is a great place to live, until winter!! We've had a nice summer this year! I don't want to see it end. I still have a few weeks left to ride yet before we have to worry about that though!

Hey Greg,
Thanks for the welcome! I lived in Norwalk, CA back in 1965. I was only there 1 year but I really liked it, especially the weather!
Take care,
