Help wiring soundbar
« on: September 07, 2016, 05:05:48 PM »

Hey there all,
I recently bought a Kuryakyn Roadthunder Soundbar, and need some help in wiring it in.

There 3 wires, two for power which i can wire to the battery ok, though the remaining wire is to be wired into a switched ignition source, this is where my problem lies. basicly not sure where to fit this wire, though there is a "P & A" unused circuit in the fuse box (though i have no idea how to even attach it there. Any tips would be appreciated as to where i might connect this wire best to my 09 Springer

If you have volt meter you can find a fuse in the panel that gets 12 volts when you turn the ignition on. Then pull that fuse and take it to the auto parts store and ask them for a fuse tap for that size fuse. there are a couple different types one is a fuse that has a wire attached the other is just a small piece on metal that fits around one leg of the fuse and has a female spade lug on it get the matching end for the wire.

That the best kind if you can get one. But there are a few different types.
