Low tire pressure symbol
« on: September 07, 2016, 06:16:33 PM »

Is there a way to reset the low tire pressure indicator so it will disappear from the speedometer?  I added the correct amount of air in both tires and rode over a 100 miles so far and it didn't reset.  Wondering if maybe there is a way to manually remove it.  Thanks for any input.  Bill

Are the readings correct on the Boom box. if not you might have a bad sensor.
A friend  with a 16 RGU has had 2 sensors replaced in less then 6 months.

Nothing in the book?

I know on one of my cars, after adding air i have to press a button in the glove compartment.

The boom readings are a few pounds off yes, but I figured that had something to do with the air expanding and contracting after heating up and cooling from riding in the heat of this summer.  It's only like two in each wheel.  Btw are you guys really happy with the fullsac do pipe?  I'm thinking that's my next purchase.  I have a stock pipe currently.

Tire pressures constantly change with the change in temperature.  That's why you should always check them before riding, since the recommended tire pressures are COLD pressure readings.  The sensors should reset automatically btw.  You might want to break out the manual to be certain, but I'm not aware of any manual reset required.  See your friendly Harley dealer since it's likely your sensors are bad, like many others have been.

We have a sensor tester. You could swing by and I can test for a signal, or stop by your local tire / auto repair shop if you have a regular place to see if they can check fot a signal, might help you feel better about the dealers answer if you already know what sensor is dead.
