Need fairing pouch for 17 Street Glide, help!!
« on: September 25, 2016, 09:58:36 PM »

Cant find a fairing pouch that will work with the stock Wind Splitter wind shield. I have tried 2 different dealers and both tell me there is not one available. This is my first Street Glide as I have always rode Road Glides with the glove boxes and I dont know where to put my cr-- without that pouch. Has anyone figured this out?

They were telling the truth. I searched and searched. The answer: A new Clearview Windshield  and the HD 3-Pocket pouch.
You have to go aftermarket windshield.  To tell you the truth, you'll be happy you did.

HD now has one windshield that will work with the 3 pouch and vent.  To tall and doesn't look good in my opinion.

Windshields that look good and I like the pouch does not work.  Sure miss the glove boxes on the road glide.  Kept gum and snacks in there for when riding.

Sounds like a market for lowers door with pouches.  Seriously I did cut up one of my old 2011 windshield pouches and bolt to the door on the lowers for a pair of riding glasses that would not fit in the fairing pocket of my RGU.  Figured lower door covers are cheap if I have to take it back to stock.

this is what I use cost $35 on Amazon they have two different  type  One gets bolt it on on  The other one uses Velcro straps   this is the one I used also had to adjust the straps a little with a zip tie no big deal works great  with the wet head   that way I don't need a windshield bag

I changed my windshield from the wind splitter to a stock street glide windshield. The 3 pouch will then work.. It has to be the one that fits a 16 or later. The center pouch is slanted to allow air flow from the vent. It's a 15 minute job but the Harley windshield was way to high priced. Next time I will go with a less expensive windshield. Nice having a place to put your glasses, ear plugs, chew, phone and garage door opener

Thanks for the "lead". I don't see anything on his website that looks like it will work so I emailed him to see if he had any ideas. Hopefully he can come up with something as I really like the looks of the stock windshield and am hoping I can find something!
