stock air cleaner on 110" ?
« on: February 13, 2007, 03:47:09 PM »

My service manager stated that the CVO bikes came stock with a high flow air cleaner.  I'm not so sure.

When I added the V&H slip ons and SERT they didn't recommend that I change air filter.

Anyone know for sure?  Is there any way to tell?   :nixweiss:

If not, what's the part # for a K&N high flow air filter that will fit my '07 SERK.  I'll just purchase it from an aftermarket dealer and add it myself.

Thanks in advance.

D...you've got the backplate, and even the filter, but it's not a K&N, so in the long run you'd be better off with the K&N as it's washable/oilable (is that a word?).

Ok, from the link it doesn't look like I have to worry about the back plate thing.  Right?

I just need to replace the filter.

I'm not sure I'm going to use this dealer's service department any more.  I had over 500 miles on it when I took it in for the exhaust upgrade but they didn't want to tune it until the 1,000 mile service.  I didn't have the owners manual on me at the time, but it clearly states the break in period is the first 500 miles.

Thanks again for all the responses.  :2vrolijk_21:

While your going with the K&N, might as well get the Zippers K&N high flow. It's a little deeper and flows more air for more power :2vrolijk_21:

It's a "sniglet."  Anyone remember those?
