We sent you a little present from Jacksonville, FL   :'( :'(

We should see the worst of it  80mph winds and LOTS of rain by 8pm. Then things should start tapering off and by morning sunny Florida will be back again.

STAY SAFE!!

Started raining here yesterday and really pouring at times. Winds 20-40.........just hoping we don't lose power.

Storm made landfall in McCellanville,SC which is about midway between Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Lost power at 10 pm last night and have been on generator power ever since. There is a good bit of flooding in the area. We are high and dry at the house. Hope everyone else in the storms path are doing as well or better.

WAS looking forward to Biketober Fest, staying in St. Augustine and riding back and forth on A1A. Seeing on the weather channel that St. Augustine had major flooding and A1A is washed completely out near Flager beach. Charleston also hit hard. I wonder how it will affect Daytona festivities  :nixweiss:

Biketoberfest is still on as of now, no plans to cancel.  https://www.facebook.com/Biketoberfest  More info at link, plus some current Daytona Beach information.  Hotel/motel/campground reservations should be confirmed due to the storm.

A1A is washed out some near Flagler Beach and St. Augustine experienced some bad flooding. Would not plan on using that route, US 1 probably a better choice. Weather after a hurricane is many times some of the best weather we have in Florida.  Forecast for most of next week for Daytona is lows 70s highs 80s with chances of rain (50%) on Wednesday & Thursday & 20% chance rest of week.  Great riding weather!

Has not been such a big deal here in Sunset Beach along the coast.  Have not lost power yet,  and although lots of rain, my gauge clear from Thursday has only gotten to less than 5" overall.  Seems more rain and wind inland from here to the West.

Rain, water, destruction.   My yard looks like king king had a party in my trees.    Then you see sights like this

My yard didn't have much debris during the first 14 hours, but then the back side dumped two truckloads of debris in a couple of hours. But we stayed high and dry and no damage to the house or cars. :2vrolijk_21:

Real relieved to hear that!!   We had debris, leaves and lots and lots of branches to clean up. Then I fired up the John Deere and "vaccumed" the lawn back to pristine condition. The neighbors were doing it all manually, huffing and puffing in the humidity and heat. So I mulched up 5 of my neighbors lawns and boy were they relieved to be done with it all.

NOTHING LIKE A DEERE.    :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Strike up the band, stop the presses, power was restored today at 5:15 pm !
Spent most of the day removing tree debris from around the house. We have a pile 15 feet in diameter and 7 feet tall and still have about 1/3 of the front area still to clean. But the power is back on!   :bananarock: :mango: :orange: :apple:
