question on 17 odometer options
« on: October 15, 2016, 11:43:06 PM »

When hitting the button on top of the left hand control to cycle through the odometer options besides the usual trip A, trip B, etc it says FR and RR. Anyone know what those 2 stand for?

FR, front tire pressure reading.

RR, rear tire pressure reading.

If you haven't seen his thread, his new bike to is not with him right now due to a nasty storm in NorCal and work obligations. You don't make many friends with so many of your comments like the one I quoted do you? Alan has been on this site for quite a while and is a respected member that would not ask a question like this if he had the answer readily available.

Seems to me he would have known, had he read the manual. I read your posts and I am O.K without you as a friend. No problem here.
Have a good one.

If that is the case then why post "read the manual" as you so often do. The intent/spirit of this forum is to provide information (whether it can be found in other places or not)... if you feel you can't offer it then why consistently post to "read the manual". Believe you me there are plenty of posts that I read that have been answered prior to the poster asking but in the spirit of the site I just read them and move on (not post)... it's not hard nor rocket science.... either answer the question or move on. :nixweiss:

just for the record from the time the salesman handed me my papers and manuals to me shifting gears (which are insanely smooth on the 17 BTW..) was about 3 minutes as I was trying to outrun that storm w hich ended up being a ridiculous idea. He tried to "deliver" the bike to me but I told him I would figure it out on my 4 day trip back with the intent of reading the manual cover to cover in the various rooms along the way. By the time I got to the first room I was so bummed out about my trip literally "washing away" and having to scramble to make alternate travel plans I obviously didn't get to figure out the differences in the new bike compared to mine.
BTW, thanks OBB for defending me!!
