I thought when this new air cleaner came out in '09 that a couple of our tech dyno guys ran with without the air cleaner and there was only a couple hp difference.  Did I remember incorrectly?

If it's correct, that's a lot of money for naught.

The difference between the ventilator air filter and no air filter is 3HP.  That is true of the original design of it.  It has just been shown to be true of the new M8 design of the ventilator also.  There is a video on the M8 thread showing slip ons had zero gain on the M8, then removing the ventilator had a 3 hp gain with out even a tune.

The heavy breather had the same HP as no air filter.
