Emissions Question
« on: October 31, 2016, 11:13:37 AM »

I am looking at a new 2017 cvo limited. The only ones that are close to me are in California. I have always stayed away from the CA emissions bikes before. Does anyone know the true difference between the 49 state bikes and the CA bikes these days. last one I bought was in 2010, and I made sure that it came from Oregon. I was always told the CA bikes run a little leaner. I know once you get the cats off of it and re flash its all history anyway. but with the new warranty stuff going on I might leave it alone for a little while. Looking for input guys. Thank you.

The California bikes come with an evaporative emissions setup that the 49 state bikes do not (includes a carbon canister and control/purge valve to contain emissions from the fuel tank vent).  Other than that, all domestic models meet the same emission standards these days.
