I am on battery #2 . I got 4 years out of original and replaced it with OEM. I always keep it plugged in to tender in a warm garage. IMHO go with what works for you but I don't think you can go wrong with OEM.

You may want to take a look at this thread - Deka (Big Crank ETX 30L) vs AGM Duracell Ultra - Longevity/Reliability. I was in need of a battery last November after my second OEM battery went dead (original battery lasted almost 8 years, replaced it w/another OEM battery that lasted 3+ years). Like the previous post I keep my bike on a battery tender at all times when it is parked. However I was unhappy w/the 2nd OEM battery that died early (IMO) and decided to look for alternatives.

After much thought I broke down and bought a Battery Mart Big Crank this past week. Ordered it last sunday (internet) and it was delivered wednesday morning. Cost was $98.00 and change. Black friday sale in progress including shipping (no tax).
Plugged it into tender at noon and it went to float @ around 4:00 PM so it had some substantial charge in it.
Bike fires off fast now, Original was getting slower by the day, so I decided to try A/M after always using a OE in the past. Probably would have bought another OE but I didn't have time to drive hour round trip to dealer due to prior stuff. We'll see how it goes. Was cheap enough and perfect fit.

Lots of good info in that thread Chuck. I had put a Big Crank in my '11 before I traded it. I've been told it's the same as OEM only with a different label. $100 shipped to your door vs $175- $180 +tax at the dealer.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and ordered the  Deka labeled Big Crank
$97 to the door. I guess we will see how long it will last.

Speaking to new very much not current production.  So only an anecdotal comparison of course.  But I've got Deka batteries in both bikes here.  Both will be completing their fourth year this spring.  The one in the Road Glide has started to show signs of slow cranking.  The battery in the Road King no ill signs yet.  They'll both be replaced this spring and will hope to get four years each again.

My Harley OEM recently kicked th bucket right at 3 years. This has happened with the two I purchased before that. I am believing that the Harley battery is programmed to go out at 3 years to the day...LOL.

I decided to go rogue this time and went with this one. Twin Power Premium Factory Activated AGM Battery TPWM732GH

Hoping for maybe four years this time.

I have used Big Crank batteries in my Harleys and my Japanese muscle bikes for about 4 years. I have had no issues with 7 batteries and the price and shipping from Battery Mart has been  excellent.

My original 2007 Deuce battery went 7 years and the original battery in my 2009 Street Glide went 6 years before switching them out to Big Crank Batteries.
