CVO cover
« on: November 27, 2016, 02:16:44 PM »

Does the indoor cover that comes with the bike breathe enough to use all winter?? I read a post a while back that a guy found rust on a few parts after uncovering the bike in the spring......

I use mine year round.... I do have a dehumidifier running where the bike is stored. Do you have an issue w/moisture where you are storing yours?? If so then there could be the possibility of rust. :nixweiss:

If you are worried about moisture during storage you may want to consider one of these :

Don't have a moisture issue, but I do work in the garage in the winter with my heater on and the change in temp will create condensation on the bike sometimes.

The best indoor cover made is a bed sheet. Won't trap moisture and easy to wash. A dirty cover will scratch bike.

^+1 on that. I grabbed all the spare sheets and comforters we had to cover the bikes, works well, easy to wash, and all it cost was the ole lady yelling about using the spares sheets.

say if your worried about moisture just throw some charcoal out under the cover. used to do this on a couple cars I stored for the winter. floors really sweat when the frost came out in the spring kept them bone dry underneath whereas the rest of the floor was soaking wet. bag of charcoal is pretty cheap as well

GoldenRod Dehumidifier Rod under a covered bike is a good solution IMHO.
