My thoughts go out to everyone in that area. I have been watching it on the news and it is devastating.

We spent 4-5 days there back in 1987 and the people and the sites were very memorable.

So very sad. We have spent so much time in the area and to see it burned is terrible.
Here is a picture of real hero's resting after helping to stop the fires.

All those affected are in our thoughts and prayers. This has been a tragic occurrence.

Those familiar with Eastern TN will know that the entire region has been battling wild fires for about two months, it's been an especially dry summer/fall and that has made those efforts difficult. A majority of the wild fires had affected areas that are sparsely populated..... until this one....

Again all those affected are in our thoughts and prayers.

What a classy lady. Dolly raised $9 million in aide. She is giving $1000/month to those who lost everything. My hat's is off to Dolly.

We have friends who live there, as I'm sure many of you do.  Wildfires are such a shame in any area, but especially where people and businesses can be negatively affected.  Our prayers go out to all those in the area.

friend of ours has there kid living in the area. they lost everything. got out with the clothes on their back & one car. had a hard time even getting out safely. they said they didn't think they would make it. Praise the Lord, they did & are thankful. Chip. I too had been wondering how you fared in the mass of things.  Prayers to all that were affected & for the ones who put their lives on the line for others. have a friend ( from church) that is with FEMA. he told me yesterday that he's been in LA for almost a month & is now on his way to Tn. Praying for him as well.
