Just when you think you've heard it all!  I've guess nothings sacred anymore, sorry for the loss of your dock.  Build it better with a strong hidden chain!

It's nothing new.  I had my dock at the lake of the Ozarks stolen, 30 years ago.   With 1800 miles of shoreline it's easy to hide in plain sight.  Most dock there look very similar.  The water patrol officer said there was little chance of getting it back.  Thank god for insurance.  He kinda chuckled be cause it had only happened once or twice before.  Now they have several a year.

I don't think our lake (Hartwell) allows fixed docks.  Is your dock going to up and down with the water height similar to on the coast?

I had to shovel dirt onto the ice in the driveway to go for a ride the other day. I'll trade weather with you.

You would love the waterfowl chances, Kirk. Only one thing needs to change.....years ago Geese were protected in SC. When people started feeding them, they stopped flying south and Governments, doing what they do best, failed to act!! Now cleaning what a gaggle of geese leave on any water structure is a pain in the butt.
A large hole, several bags of lime and some good old fashioned lead poisoning.  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm betting the dock theft was an inside job so Jimmy could convince mama he needed a new bigger better dock!!!
