Heated Hand Grips for '14 FLSTNSE
« on: January 24, 2017, 02:23:37 PM »

I searched but didn't see any reference to heated grips for a 2014 FLSTNSE.  Does anyone know if they are available?  Thanks.

Yes they are available from Harley. My wife has them on her 2014.

I looked at all HD heated grips and everyone I looked at where not available for the SE Softail because as stated my bike has internally wired handlebars.

ALL of the kits in Harley's catalog have had that comment in them going back to when they first introduced heated grips.  All it really means is that it will take a little extra effort and talent to route wires inside the bars since those kits have wiring that is already terminated and also has a heavier outer protective sheath.  If you really want the Harley grips and want them wired internally, a good tech who is good with wiring would have no problem fixing you up.  Or, you could pay a lot more and buy the version Harley installs on CVO models from the replacement parts catalog for a bike that comes equipped from the factory.  It will cost about three times as much though.  There are a lot of people riding around with Harley heated grips they bought from the accessory catalog and with the wiring run inside the bars.

Yep, they all say that.  It's not true.  It was done on my 12 CVO Road Glide, wired internally even though it said it could not be done.  It was done on my 13 CVO RK wired internally even though it said it could not be done.  Same on my 17 CVO Street glide, wired internally.

Yea, when I got both my 17 and 12 it said you couldn't do the internally wired heated grips. Did them on both
