Listening to the H-D earnings call. While no specific mention of mid-year introductions or CVO, the CEO stressed that they are entering a new era of product innovation. H-D plans to introduce 50 new motorcycles over the next five years and are committed to "making new riders" through the Riding Academy and Project Outreach (growing numbers and share of 18-35 year-old, women and minority riders). Heavy emphasis on expanding international dealer points. Production levels are expected to be flat for 2017.

I'm thinking those will be models that I have absolutely no interest in.  :nixweiss:

I remember reading in an older thread that one member asked his dealer if there was going to be a CVO Roadglide and the dealer said come back in Feb. so maybe there will be a mid year release of one? But we all know how trustworthy the rumor mills are.....

Somehow I don't think the MOCO is concerned about the majority of us older riders and keeping our interest. We may have the disposable income and drank enough of the Koolaid to buy one or two more bikes but the statement looks like a plan to get the younger riders hooked on Harley and they will buy more bikes in their lifetime this keeping MOCO in business.
Thing I saw and was concerned about is the sentence where they plan 50 new bikes in the next 5 years... How will the dealers keep all in inventory and how will a buyer choose among all of that? Are they truly new and different or are they planning cosmetic differences as a model ? (standard, flat black, with ape hangers etc. as separate models)

Time will tell I guess?

You would think they would be interested in what life long Hog riders actually thought, oh wait a minute they are much smarter than us!
